In order to keep everyone safe, in addition to in office meetings, I offer phone sessions as well as video calls over FaceTime, Zoom, or Google Hangouts.
I offer individualized psychotherapy targeted to your needs, and work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. People with anxiety, depression, ADHD, academic performance issues, and learning disabilities - or some combination - all can benefit from therapy.
I also offer psychoeducational testing, including testing for gifted programs, special education needs, and private school placement.
I work with people to uncover their strengths and help them build happier, more productive lives. I see the therapeutic process as safe, confidential, and collaborative. My clients and I work in a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment to foster personal growth and self awareness.
I am here for you. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, become more powerful, overcome adversity, and enjoy your life. We'll work together so you can optimize your strengths and replace maladaptive thinking patterns and behaviors.

I provide in-service workshops/trainings for parents, students, and faculty/staff members on many issues that impact our lives everyday. My trainings are designed to explain and provide strategies to best deal with the subject matter. I have conducted trainings on understanding mental health issues, anti bullying, suicide prevention, parenting, the impact of divorce on a child's learning and behavior, customer service, and improving communication.
Nearly everyone experiences depression, fear, and anxiety at some point. Through counseling and treatment, you can recover the motivation, perspective, and joy that you once enjoyed.
Up to 11 percent of Americans between 4 and 17 and approximately 4 percent of Americans 18 and older have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I offer therapy to help clients understand how their ADHD affects them both negatively and positively so we can develop strategies to help them thrive at school, at work, and in life.
Relationships are some of the most important things in our lives - and sometimes the most difficult. Even the most sound, trusting relationships can be tough at times. Therapy can help you understand what's going on with your relationship. With that knowledge, you can address issues in effective and appropriate ways.
If you are concerned that your child may have ADHD, dyslexia, a mood disorder, anxiety, or another issue that is getting in the way of her/him enjoying life and functioning at her/his best, or that she/he may need accommodations in their classrooms or on high stakes testing situations such as the SAT, ACT, then your child may benefit from psychological testing or a psycho-educational evaluation.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I conduct these evaluations order to answer a specific referral question or set of questions about a how a person is functioning and offer targeted and implementable interventions to help increase her/his functioning in that/those area(s). The evaluations use specialized tests that are able to measure your child’s intelligence, academic achievement, behavior, and personality functioning and compare them to thousands of other children of the same age in each area assessed. The results of the evaluations reveal the areas where your child excels and those areas that she/he needs help. This information is used to make more informed and efficient treatment decisions.
Referral questions may be similar to the following: Is my child suffering from a mood disorder (e.g. depressive disorders, bipolar) and/or anxiety? Does my child have a learning disorder? Why isn’t my child performing up to her/his potential academically? Why does my child get so frustrated so easily? Why doesn’t my child have more/any friends? What are my child’s strengths/weaknesses? Why is my child suddenly having so many problems? Why doesn’t my child want to go to school anymore? Does my child require special programming to address her/his high intellect? What interventions does my child need to perform at her/his best at school? What accommodations will make things fair for my child at school?
I have been a child psychologist since 2004. I write my psychological and psycho-educational reports so that they are understandable and useful to my clients' families and/or their schools. They are written with the parents and teachers in mind and use a style that clearly explains the sometimes complex results with words that are understandable and jargon free. My goal is to describe your child in a way that she/he will be understood as a multifaceted person, not just a series of scores. My recommendations address your child's strengths, not just the problematic areas; everyone needs to find a way to shine!
